As with our terms and conditions page, we have attempted to keep our shipping and return policy terms as simple as possible so that you can understand them without having to have a law degree! Throughout our terms we've also made comments, in teal to help explain why we have to have certain policies. These comments are simply for your reference and to aid in your understanding of the terms you are agreeing to, and are not part of our terms itself. These terms are for your protection as well as our own, and if you have any questions about them, please feel free to contact us.
Privacy & Personal Information
We do collect certain personal information about you in order to fulfill your order. Please read our privacy policy for details of the various ways we safeguard your personal information and the care we give it.
To summarize our privacy policy - your information is private, your information is secure. We do not share your information, we do not sell your information. We will not spam you; if you opt into our newsletter mailings you will receive an email from time to time, but it will concern only our products and you can opt out at any time.
Order Processing
Our shipping department processes shipments Monday through Friday (excluding postal holidays, national holidays and company holidays) and we normally ship within 24 hours of receiving payment via PayPal or credit card. Our online store tracks our inventory, so what you see is normally what we have in stock. However, if for some reason we are not going to be able to ship within 72 hours of receiving your payment via PayPal or credit card, we will contact you with details. Please review our backorder policy, below, for more details on backorders.
Although we ship our orders incredibly quickly, the time it takes your order to arrive is also dependent on which shipping method you choose. Please be aware that if you select a lower-cost shipping method, such as USPS Media Mail, etc., your order may take two weeks or more to arrive.
If you pay via check or money order, we cannot ship until we have received your payment and the funds have cleared into our bank account. For those of you without a credit card, you should note that PayPal does let you pay via electronic check, which saves you the hassle, expense and time of mailing a check. We normally ship orders paid via check or money order within 24 hours of the funds clearing, and if for some reason we cannot ship your order within 72 hours of your payment clearing, we will contact you with details.
We understand that for many of our items you have a choice of serveral websites, and that even on our exclusive items, you still choose to purchase from us. We want to be your first choice when shopping for jewelry, so we pride ourselves on our goal of shipping 99% of our orders within 1 business day of receiving the order. Please understand that money orders have to clear as well - on many money orders you will notice disclaimers stating that the money order should not be accepted as payment if the person receiving the money order does not have any type of recourse against the person paying via money order. This is because money orders can bounce just like checks. We have, unfortunately, had individuals attempt to pay with fradulant money orders, and many money order services do allow you to stop payment on a money order. Therefore, money orders have to clear our bank just like checks before we can ship your order. We apologize for this, but even with this policy in place, we have had customers who have attempted to pay for their items with banks accounts they had previously closed, etc.
Shipping Costs
We attempt to keep our shipping prices as low as possible. Unlike many other online stores, we don't lure you in with prices that seem too good to be true and then make up for it with grossly inflated shipping charges. You can browse our site knowing that the prices you see are fair and there are no hidden fees that will pop up during the check out process, ruining what otherwise looked like a great deal. Also, you can view the shipping charges before you complete your order and before you provide your payment information, so you know up front what you'll be paying for shipping.
For example, we now offer free shipping via USPS first class mail for
all orders over $20 and first class mail for $3.99 for any order under
$20, with priority mail shipping only costing $6 or so! Please note that
these prices are just an example, and your actual shipping cost will be
based on the weight of your order and displayed before you complete the
checkout process. Free shipping offers only apply to orders placed
on our website, and do not apply to phone or fax orders.
We feel that our shipping costs are
some of the best on the Internet and in the mail order industry. We have
a long-standing promotion that gives free first class mail shipping to
orders shipped within the US that total over $20; other orders cost
about $4 for first class mail; you can upgrade to priority mail for
about
$6 total or to express mail for about $18 total. International shipments are very reasonable as well, but our cost varies so much from country to country, it's best if you contact us for a specific quote for international shipping.
International Shipping
We do ship internationally, however, we reserve the right to refuse any order and do review each international order on a case-by-case basis. Due to past experience for many countries we will require you to purchase shipping insurance and we will not ship internationaly via surface mail. Feel free to contact us before purchasing to confirm the shipping methods and cost to your particular country.
You might think that international shipping is expensive, however, we ship many packages to the UK and Canada for under $10 via expedited methods such as Global Priority Mail. Contact us for a shipping quote to your country, or begin checkout (you'll be shown the shipping options before you're asked for your payment, and can cancel or quit checkout if you don't find our shipping charges reasonable) to see all of our international shipping options and prices.
Partial Orders/Backorders
In the vast majority of cases, we will have inventory on hand to cover your order. If for some reason we do not, we will ship you the items we have on hand immediately, and you can feel free to contact us for information concerning the availability of the out of stock items or place another order for the out of stock items. If your entire order is for out of stock items, we will hold your order until they come available. Because it is possible that we need to contact you about your order to inform you of a backorder, etc., it is vital that when you create your account and place your order you provide us with an email address that you check frequently. Furthermore, if you have any type of spam or junk mail filter, please be sure to check your spam and/or junk mail folder to make sure our emails to you have not been mistakenly labeled as junk email. We are not responsible for any emails that are lost, misdirected or delayed by any spam or junk email filtering software you or your Internet Service Provider uses. If we attempt to contact you about a backorder and you do not respond, we will ship the items we have on hand; if none of the items you ordered as in stock, we will hold your order until they are, and ship it at that time.
We carry such a wide array of jewelry that there are some items that we may be temporarily out of stock of. However, we do keep a large inventory on hand of a majority of our items, so backorders are rare. When they do occur, we are usually able to use our relationship with various suppliers to restock the missing item and complete your order within a few days. If something is out of stock, we will ship the rest of your order immediately so that you get your items as quickly as possible, and we can let you know when the other items will be available for purchase again.
Gifts
In addition to gift certificates which you can purchase in our online store, we do offer gift services. We can ship your order to a gift receipient and for a small fee we can gift wrap any item. Simply select 'gift wrap' at order checkout and enter the occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc) in the comments form on your order. If you would like us to include a card with a gift message on it, enter this in the comments form on your order. Contact us with any questions or for details.
Not much to say here, but please do remember that we can gift wrap items, including a gift message and ship them directly to the gift recipient, and we even offer 2-3 and next day shipping options, making our jewelry great for last minute gifts!
Shipping Insurance & Liability
We
are not liable for packages lost or damaged in shipment and
therefore strongly urge all customers to purchase insurance. We offer
insurance on all orders. If you do not see an option to insure your
package and would like to purchase insurance, please contact us Title to the goods
pass from us to you, the customer, as soon as we tender the goods to
the shipping carrier and shipping method you choose.
We do everything we can to ensure that every item we ship arrives in perfect condition. However, we have learned over the years that even the most expensive shipping services can find new and interesting ways to process and damage packages! We have a very low rate of damaged packages because of the careful, thorough job our shipping department does, however, it does happen. If the shipping service you select damages your order or loses it while processing it and you purchase shipping insurance, its a very simple process to ensure you receive a refund for the damaged items. However, if you do not purchase shipping insurance, as sad as it is, the shipper will do little, if anything, to compensate you for the items they damaged or lost.
Returns
Except where noted on the product's page, we offer a 15 day money
back guarantee on all of our non-personalized products, excluding
chicBuds. For sanitary reasons, chicBuds in-ear headphones may not be
returned or exchanged unless defective, in which they will be
exchanged for an identical pair of chicBuds if we are notified within 48
hours of delivery. If you are not
happy with your purchase, contact us for instructions on how to return it, including your return authorization number.
We can only accept items that have not been used or damaged for return, unless the item was damaged in shipping and you purchased insurance on the shipment. For clothing items, this means that we cannot accept returns or exchanges on clothing that appears to have been worn or washed or are otherwise in a condition that cannot be re-sold (i.e. smoke odor, stains, pet hair, etc). Clothing items that are made-to-order are not returnable or exchangeable, so double-check the measurement given on the item page.
Personalized, engraved, monogrammed, screen-printed, and other
made-to-order items may not be returned or
exchanged, since they are
made specifically for you per your specifications. Please double-check your personalization instructions and sizing before completing your order. No refunds or exchanges will be made for your typographical or other errors in order submission. If you notice a defect in the personalized item when it is received, you must notify us via email within 2 days of receipt of the order, as determined by USPS delivery confirmation or UPS tracking details. We will then send return instructions, and will exchange the defective item with the same item and same personalization request only.
In most cases you will be responsible for shipping the item back to us, after which we will refund the purchase price you paid for the item, less the cost of shipping the item to you, the cost of shipping insurance or gift services you purchased at checkout and any other applicable fees. Refunds will be given in the original form of payment or via a company check, at our discretion.
Due to the low wholesale prices we offer on large quantity purchases,
special orders and wholesale orders, we can only accept exchanges for
items in special orders, wholesale orders or large quantity orders
(including orders which receive quantity discount pricing), we cannot
accept returns on items in these types of orders.
Please note that if you received free shipping for your order based on your order total (i.e., free shipping for orders over $20) and your order total drops below the amount needed for free shipping due to a return, the amount you would've been charged to ship your order if you had not received free shipping will be deducted from any refund. Any other discounts based on quantity or order total will also be recalulated and the difference deducted from your refund.
Be sure to print your return authorization number plainly on the outside of your package, as any items returned without a valid return authorization number will not be accepted. Furthermore, this warranty does not cover any type of consumable, replaceable component such as batteries.

The return policy - perhaps one of the most important components of a company's policies that you should read and compare! We stand behind our products, and most certainly want to work to make every customer happy. That's why we offer a 15 day money back guarantee on all of our products, subject to the above terms. Basically, if you break it after you receive it, you're responsible for that; if you receive it and you don't like it or it's not what you thought it would be, you can send it back. We do require all customers to contact us before returning an item - primarily so that we can ensure you receive a return authorization number to print on the outside of your package. If you do not print this RA# on the outside of your package, we have no way to know which order the product is from, that it is a return and not just one of the countless other packages we receive from vendors and suppliers, etc. We cannot refund the cost of shipping the item to you in the first place, and other 'consumable' type expenses such as shipping insurance, gift wrap, etc. because even if you return the item, you have still consumed those funds and those resources. Because of the low margin and the previous abuse of our return policy we've seen by wholesale customers, we cannot accept returns for a refund from wholesale and large quantity orders, but we can offer exchanges for those items.
