worth celebrating

  • Back to School ~ Celebrate the New School Year!

It's hard to believe, but in a few short weeks millions of kids will be heading back to school and some are heading back even sooner than that! Going back to school can be so much fun but the first day can often cause kids to have a case of the jitters. However, if you make back to school an occasion worth celebrating that can really help to get kids even more excited about the coming school year! Today on the Charming Chick Blog we will give you some tips for creating a fantastic back to school buzz.

    1. Plan a Back to School Party

So often we think of throwing parties to celebrate the last day of school but not the first day. Well, first days are very important and that deserves a party too! So why not invite a few of your child's favorite friends from school over to kick off the school year in style! There are so many things you can do and make in preparation for the event and we have pinned just a few fun ideas on our newest Pinterest board: Creative Back to School Ideas.

    2. Make a Special Lunch

If you get a little creative with your child's lunch it can really set the tone for a great school year. Older kids may not appreciate your creativity but if you know your child and know they'll love it go for it. For older kids who may not appreciate an animal shaped sandwich or ants on a log, you can always discreetly write a note telling them you love them and you hope they are having a great day and tuck it into their lunch box. A great site (beside the one mentioned above) is one of my personal favorites Super Healthy Kids.

    3. Welcome them home from school with a sweet treat!

The kids will probably be excitedly telling you all about how their first day of school went, how they like their teacher, old friends that got to see and new friends that they made. Why not make this conversation even more enjoyable by sitting around the table and serving a delicious treat with some wholesome milk? Creating something truly special will let your kids know that you missed them, you hope they had a wonderful day and you are so glad they are home.
