    • Teacher Gifts ~ An End of the Year Thank You

      As we mentioned in an early post, the end of the school year is almost here. For many parents, this means trying to find teacher gifts - to show your appreciation for all their hard work and dedication - throughout the year. When most of us think teacher's gifts the first things that pop into our mind are candles, candy, and coffee cups. While these do make nice gifts, teachers get a lot of them. So what can you get that will show your gratitude, and will be special and useful?

      We searched the web looking to see what teachers and parents had to say on the subject. We hope these ideas will help you on your quest for the perfect teacher's gifts.

      {Gift Idea #1}

      If your child's class is relatively small - and you want let all of the parents in on the gift - a charm bracelet with charms is a wonderful idea. Sterling silver charms aren't terribly expensive but can be very meaningful. At Charming Chick we have a large selection of charms to choose from.  We also have some beautifully crafted sterling silver charm bracelets as well.

      {Gift Idea #2}

      Teachers get a lot of knickknacks as gifts but an item that the special teacher in your life will love - and wear often - is an inspirational necklace. The verse on the pewter necklace above reads "A teacher's ordinary day is an investment in an extraordinary future."

      {Gift Idea #3}

      Teachers love to read and share with their students, so a new book or two for their classroom, would be greatly appreciated. Another wonderful gift - along the same lines - might be a gift certificate to a school supply store. Many teachers have to buy supplies out of their own pocket, so this is something they can really use.

      {Gift Idea #4}

      Our last gift, is something every teacher can use and enjoy. It is a stylish lunch tote. The great thing about this is that it can be monogrammed -- for an extra personal touch. The teacher in your life can toss the brown bag, save a tree and use this insulated lunch tote to carry her lunch to school. She'll think of you every time she uses it.
