Despite rapidly advancing research and treatments, breast cancer is still the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the industrialized world.

Research had shown that eating a diet high in fat and low in fruits and vegetables may contribute to a woman's risk of breast cancer. A recent study has shown that eating the following foods can reduce a woman's chance of breast cancer, whether or not she is genetically predisposed:

  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Low fat dairy products
  • Fish
  • Olive oil
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Avocado
  • Foods high in Vitamin D
  • Tofu
